Instead of a full-day course on writing better for the web, the Consumer Agency's web editorial team opted for a six-week learning process. This process mixed new knowledge acquisition methods with inspiration and individual text coaching.

"I appreciated the kick-off and the time to reflect on the role and attitude towards learning. It wasn't just a series of study blocks with a start and stop, but more the beginning of a curious learning journey long after the training."

Needs: New Work Methods and Inspiration

When the Consumer Agency refined the role of the web editor – from publisher to modern web editor with all that implies for work methods and knowledge – an opportunity for a fresh start arose. The group consisted of senior communicators with extensive experience and a high level of writing skills. The need was for inspiration, to keep their skills up to date, and the opportunity to work more as a team. The goal was not to conduct a traditional training initiative at a specific time but to explore the group's opportunities to find their motivation and acquire knowledge when needed.

Solution: Customized Training Initiative

We tailored a six-week-long training initiative where the group worked together to map out their needs and explore new ways of learning. The training was interspersed with inspirational lectures on UX writing, web analysis, and individual text coaching.

Results: A Common Platform and Updated Toolkit

After the six weeks, there was a common platform for the team's development and content work on the agency's websites. With the group's experience and knowledge of the challenges faced by web editors, they had the opportunity to find new paths to learning and a new sense of security and pride in their professional role. They also received an updated toolkit with new methods and work practices for digital communication.
